Hi, I'm Diana

After growing up in Portland, I moved to Minnesota to complete my Bachelor of Arts in French and Francophone Studies at Carleton College. A few years later, I found myself sitting across from my first therapist; processing a recent cross-country move, a decade-long eating disorder, and an unfulfilling career in marketing. Those quiet afternoons on my therapist's couch helped me reconnect with my body, improved my relationships, and uncovered my passion for emotional exploration. I soon decided to pursue my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Saybrook University. I chose Saybrook because of its humanistic roots, which emphasized social justice, self awareness, and truly compassionate mental health care.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (C9554) in Oregon. I've been practicing since 2019, and I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression and PTSD. I've worked in all levels of eating disorder care, from hospitalization to outpatient services.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, toddler, and three furry companions. I love calling Portland home, and try to explore its many parks, restaurants, music venues, and coffee shops when I have the chance. I also love crocheting, reading, doing yoga, hiking, and lazing on the couch with my cuddliest orange cat, Griffin.

Cultural Humility

My educational roots strongly emphasized introspection and self-awareness, with the aim of addressing how my body and privileges impact my clients, and the work that I do. I am committed to practicing cultural humility in this way, fostering a space that honors clients of all races, genders, relational identities, abilities, body sizes and ages.

I recognize that as a fellow human being, I have flaws, misperceptions and unconscious biases. I encourage clients to question and challenge me, when needed. I'm also committed to doing repair-work when I make mistakes.
